POWER tools worth around £10,000 have been stolen during a burglary at a rural construction site in Houghton near Stockbridge.
The theft occurred between 5.45pm on Wednesday, 9 January and 7.55am on Thursday, 10 January at Pittleworth Farm in Houghton..
A barn and a container were broken into on the site.and 46 assorted power tools were stolen which were marked with I.W.P and some new windows. PC John Viney from Stockbridge police station said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area overnight on Wednesday, January 9.
“I’d also like to hear from anyone who has seen any tools marked with I.W.P.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Viney at Stockbridge police station by phoning 101.
