Fight in Andover town centre

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fight outside the Danebury Hotel, in Andover.

The town centre disturbance happened between 10pm and 10.15pm last Thursday (17) and involved two men.

One 40-year-old man, from Barton Stacey, was bitten on the hand while a 48-year-old Andover man suffered a head injury.

The Andover man was arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed, pending further police enquiries, until 6 February. The Barton Stacey man was arrested on suspicion of affray and bailed until 5 February.

Anyone who witnessed the altercation should contact Pc Kayleigh Rush at Andover police station on 101.
