GOLDEN and diamond couples are being called to celebrate their special anniversaries with the mayor of Basingstoke and Deane.
Mayor Councillor Martin Biermann will hold a special reception for those marking their 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries up until 9 May 2013.
Cllr Biermann said: “It will be a real privilege to be able to share these wonderful milestones with local couples.
“I am therefore appealing to the couples, or their relatives or friends, to make sure they let us know so that they get an invitation to come in and join us.”
A reception will be held at the Civic Offices on Wednesday, 3 April 2013 at 3pm.
Golden and diamond couples should call the borough council’s contact centre on 01256 844844 and leave their contact details.
