POLICE are appealing for information after the driver of a vehicle failed to stop after a collision in Andover.

At about 1pm on Friday, 25 January a vehicle towing a trailer collided with a cyclist on Green Lane, in Monxton, causing the cyclist to fall.

The 36-year-old victim sustained minor injuries to his back and leg.

The vehicle, which failed to stop, is described as a dark grey Land Rover Freelander which was towing a trailer carrying timber and was last seen travelling towards Grateley Village.

Pc Anthony Fisher said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward and speak to us.

“The victim sustained minor injuries and is currently recovering at home.

“The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and we are very keen to trace this person.

“The driver may not be aware he or she was involved in a collision so I would urge him or her to come forward.

“I would urge anyone with any information about the collision or the driver of the vehicle to get in touch at the earliest opportunity.”
