ANDOVER and District Mencap has launched a new baby and toddler session at its Wellington Centre on Winchester Road in Andover.

Children aged between six months and four years are welcome to enjoy the centre’s sensory room, fitted with mood lighting and music, a ball pit and beanbags, which is accessible to all.

Simon Tyler, chief executive at Andover Mencap, said: “This space is open to everyone and is perfect for mother and toddler groups.

“From 21 February it will be open to be used on Thursdays between 10am and 12pm. Come along and use it and have a chat and a coffee.

“You can do so much in here and we really want all the community and the people of Andover to come here, it has so many uses.

“No public money was used to make this centre.

Andover owns this building and it is for the community to use.

“We have almost an old fashioned community centre here. If people need help we are here and if we can’t help we will find someone who can.”
