A TEAM of Hampshire students joined their peers from universities across the UK to take their first steps on the corporate ladder.

Budding entrepreneurs from the University of Southampton attended a workshop run by SETsquared, designed to give students the skills and advice needed to start their own business.

The scheme is a collaboration between the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Surrey and Southampton, with students taking part in a wide programme of enterprise education events.

The most recent event, held at the University of Surrey, saw teams given a hypothetical business idea and handed the task of drawing up a three-year business plan.

Their ideas were then pitched to an esteemed panel of judges, who picked an overall winner.

...and this is where you have to work like a dog for 60 hours a week until you start paying attention to quality of life, spending time with your family etc. Or we find someone in a faraway land who will do it (badly) for 30% of your salary.
Then we'll chuck you out and get some fresh blood in.

But keep scrabbling because if you are the very very best at the end of year appraisal, you will get special treatment and might get to join the boss overclass.

Bitter, mois ?
