Spotlight on Anton Junior School
ANTON Junior School, which last week featured in the first of what will be a regular series throwing the spotlight on the area’s schools, has formed a new partnership with Stagecoach Theatre Arts.
The school, which now boasts a purpose built dance studio to add to its other facilities thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of parents, students and staff, including the amazing 20 marathons in 20 days run by head teacher Tom Donohoe, will be the new permanent venue of Stagecoach Andover.
Principal of Stagecoach Andover, Allen Watts, said he was delighted to have been invited to enter into the new arrangement. Stagecoach provides training in dance, drama and singing for four to 18 year olds on Saturdays during term times as well as week-long workshops during the holidays.
Mr Watts said: “We are all very excited to join the Anton School community and look forward to supporting the school and students in every way we can.”
