AN Andover market has donated £500 to a charity which helps sufferers of Parkinson’s disease.
With the ever-growing success of Andover’s Home Produce and Craft Market, it has been able to donate money to its nominated charities.
And last Friday, representatives presented a cheque to the Andover Support Group of Parkinson’s UK.
Janet Rayner, of the market, said: “The Andover group is very active, organising social events for Parkinson’s patients and their carers as well as practical assistance from healthcare professionals in coping with their illness.”
Market members – who sell their produce from 8am until noon every Friday at the Rendezvous in Union Street – have chosen FibroAction, the fibromyalgia syndrome support organisation, as their next nominated charity.
