A step back in time with dress exhibit

VISITORS to Andover’s museum stepped back in time for a retro revival exhibition.
To celebrate the new exhibition – which will run at Andover Museum until Saturday, 14 September – a photo booth and vintage dress up took place on Saturday.
Visitors young and old could discover the fashions of an earlier era and try on outfits and accessories, provided for free. Photos were then taken as lasting mementos.
Members of the Home Front History were also on hand to talk to people about the clothes from the different eras.
Dresses and hats from the late 40s to the 80s are on display at the museum, accompanied by facts and figures about fashion.
It is the last chance for people to catch this exhibition as Andover is its final stop this year.
Felicity Crabb, youth arts development manager at the museum, said: “It’s an absolutely wonderful trip down memory lane for so many people.
“It’s also fabulous to see some of the dresses and materials used and how well-made they were.
“It’s great fun to see how the different styles changed.”
