Seven arrests in Acre Court drugs raid

POLICE say they have arrested seven people following a drugs raid in Andover on Thursday.
CID officers used force to gain access to an address in Acre Court at around 5pm following information received from the community.
Once inside the property officers found suspected Class A drugs along with a large amount of money.
Three men aged 19, 20 and 20 from London, a 31-year-old man and a 40-year-old man from Andover and a 53-year-old woman from Andover were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
A 34-year-old man from Andover was later arrested in Recreation Road on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.
They remain in custody at this time.
Sergeant Glen Curtis from Andover CID said: “We want to send out a clear message to those that sell and use illegal substances that this behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to take positive action to stamp it out.
“We take all complaints very seriously and will continue to work closely with our communities.”
