A HANDBAG was stolen from a trolley in Sainsbury’s in Andover.
The 53-year-old woman was shopping in the Shepherd Spring Lane supermarket on the afternoon of 18 September when her bag was stolen.
She was taking her trolley to the bay in the car park at about 3.40pm and left her bag on the hook of the trolley by mistake. She then realised and went back to the trolley bay, but her bag was gone.
The bag is blue and from Gap. Her purse, phone and a small amount of cash was inside the bag.
Pc Amanda Lockey said: “Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the car park? Did you see anyone take a blue bag from the trolley bay?
“This theft happened at a busy time so there is likely to have been people around who may have seen something.”
Anyone with any information should contact Pc Lockey at Andover Police Station on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
