Ken's pictures snapped up
12:00pm Monday 21st October 2013 in News
AN ANDOVER supported living scheme has received more than 100 photographs to decorate the accommodation it offers to its clients.
Bridge House, which offers a high quality, safe and stable environment was given the pictures by the family of the late Ken Stevens, of Fordingbridge Camera Club.
The donated photographs date back to 1960 and will be used by residents at Bridge House and three other nearby homeless schemes to decorate accommodation.
Project worker Julia House said: “We were saddened to learn of Ken’s death, but found his donation a touching gesture.
“When clients first arrive at Bridge House, they often don’t have many possessions to bring with them so this will help them furnish their living space.”
Fordingbridge Camera Club has a history of supporting SSL schemes, with members donating images in the past, which are on display in communal areas.
Bridge House provides supported living for residents who have been homeless with the goal of moving on to live independently.
