THOUSANDS gathered at Charlton Sports Centre for the annual Andover Family Fireworks night.

Spectacular fireworks, bonfires, local bands and a funfair were all on offer providing terrific entertainment to the crowds.

Andover Anton Rotary Club and the Andover Round Table organised the popular event and all proceeds on the night are set to go to a number of Andover charities.

Chairman of the Andover Family Fireworks committee Barry Hawgood said: “The whole show went down extremely well.

“Lots of hard work has gone into this from the volunteers and I don’t think you could have seen better fireworks in the whole of Hampshire.

“The bands proved very popular as well and gave up their time to perform which was really appreciated.”

Test Valley Brass played to welcome visitors before The Rookies and Andover girl band Chasing Daisies also performed.

The children’s fireworks display followed ahead of the main fireworks display provided by Merlin Fireworks which lit up the sky over the town.

Andover Bellydancers4Life performed after the fireworks and Chasing Daisies and The Rookies returned to the stage.
