SCHOOL pupils raised some festive cheer with their Christmas fair.
More than £1,000 was raised through the Appleshaw St Peter’s Primary School fair on Saturday.
The funds will go towards Christmas presents for each classroom, part fund some school trips and will help with a project to improve outdoor equipment.
Debbie Henrys, the PTA’s treasurer, said: “It went very well, everybody seemed to enjoy themselves and I have only heard good things. Our head thought it was very successful and a lovely community event.”
She added: “I would like to thank everybody for coming along and supporting us.”
Visitors to the fair could enjoy craft stalls, a raffle, facepainting and decorating their own cakes and biscuits.
