A COMMEMORATIVE special sheet of postage stamps will be available at the Museum of Army Flying Home Front Christmas event on 14 and 15 December.

Home Front History UK has teamed up with Bletchley Park’s secret post office for this unique collector’s sheet of Royal Mail stamps. It is designed to be framed as a display piece and only 500 numbered sheets have been released.

Called The Home Front Remembered it is a tribute to those who served on the Home Front during World War Two. Re-enactors who feature on the stamps will also be at the event in Middle Wallop demonstrating how Bletchley Park’s code breakers cracked the Enigma code.

Bletchley Park author and tour guide, Philomena Liggins, will be telling ghost stories from the 1940’s and signing her new Bletchley Park book Footprints.

The Bletchley Park Post Office display will reveal how even the code breakers’ Christmas mail had to be kept top secret.
