MORE 750 Christmas gift boxes are being distributed to children in need in the Andover area this Christmas via their careworkers at local agencies.

The Andover Foodbank works with agencies including childrens services, Homestart and the Adult and Family Learning Centre to distribute gift boxes to children in need.

Annie Mihell from Andover Foodbank, said: “Boxes crammed full of exciting presents were donated by a range of local companies, schools and individuals.

“Bulpitts kindly printed leaflets free of charge and Stannah gave additional warehouse space for the project.

“Simplyhealth donated 20 boxes that made up after cash was donated by the company and boxes were donated by staff at Sainsbury’s and Office Depot.

“The PTA at Portway School donated a large number of boxes together with Bishop Challoner, St John the Baptist Primary School and Farleigh School.

“Making a gift box is a great preparation for Christmas and this year a number of donors commented on how much they had enjoyed making up a box and really thinking about who was going to receive it.

“On Christmas Day they can think about the happiness that their box will give to a child.”

The Andover Foodbank thanks all those who helped achieve this success and give happiness this Christmas.
