AN ANDOVER couple are welcoming visitors into their winter wonderland to raise money for charity.

For the 15th year running, grandparents June and Frederick Baker have opened the doors of their house at 15 Harrow Way to visitors in return for donations to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Their lounge is decked from tip to toe with festive decorations, accompanied by Christmas music.

With Disney characters, polar bears and an 8ft Christmas tree, visitors can be enchanted by the Bakers’ ever-growing collection of bright lights and sparkling decorations.

Mrs Baker, who took two weeks to decorate her home and was finished in late October, said: “I just love doing it so much.

It has cost me so much to buy this stuff, I think I have got to put it out every year.

“I absolutely love Christmas. I have just come back from America and every time I went into a shop and saw a twinkling light I was gone. I have always enjoyed Christmas.”

In the past the couple have raised money for both local and national charities, including Cancer Research and Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Everyone is welcome to view the Bakers’ house, in return for a donation in the collection tin for the air ambulance.
