Unique chance for students
10:00am Tuesday 28th January 2014 in News
ANDOVER College has come up with an enterprising solution which will see its qualified Level 3 students and training Level 4 hair and beauty students take over and run its commercial hairdressing salon every Friday from 10am to 4pm.
The salon, called Elements, where beauty treatments are also on offer, will be known as Elements Plus on these days.
The students have been successfully running pamper parties for young girls with fairy cakes, pink pop, nail glitter and makeovers.
Louise Holm, hair and beauty learning manager, said: “These successful students are all fully qualified in the services they offer and are using this unique venture to advance their skills in an ideal environment and bridge the gap between training in the classroom and practicing professionally in a salon.
“To all intents and purposes they will be salon owners for the day – running their columns, dealing with clients and then managing the finances.”
To make an appointment call the salon on 01264 360135.
