YOUNG people are being encouraged to take an interest in snooker at Ludgershall’s Old Castle Club and kick-boxing in the Scout Hall.
Castle Club member Brian Cordery said the club was bringing in junior members to encourage the young to play snooker.
He said: “We are very pleased by the way things are going – if you don’t have the youth involved then the clubs will die out.”
Town council chairman Owen White backed both ideas for giving the youth in the town further leisure options.
