WHITCHURCH Silk Mill has joined forces with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance to help raise money for the rescue service charity.
The mill, which weaves English silk fabric using machinery from the 19th century, has been commissioned to design and weave a unique silk to promote the air ambulance.
The silk will feature the iconic green and yellow of the air ambulance logo.
The design by placement student Emma Simmonds will be available as giftware to buy at the mill to raise money and funds for the air ambulance.
Rupert Nabarro, chairman of Whitchurch Silk Mill Trust, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. As two local charities, a collaboration such as this is significant, and will not only help us both to raise much-needed funds but will also raise our profiles on a local level.”
All monies raised from the sale of the giftware will be used to help keep the air ambulance flying.
