A MODEL train set was among £33,000 of goods stolen from two commercial premises in Collingbourne Ducis.
Thieves broke in to the premises in Bourne Works, High Street, overnight on 7 February, and stole a model steam train, 12 ‘warrior winches’ for vehicles, various Snap-on tools and a red Snap-on toolbox.
A grey Land Rover Discovery was also stolen but was later found burnt out near Rowde.
PC Ian Thackray said: “This appears to be a targeted burglary by thieves who were intent on stealing high value goods from these premises.
“These goods may appear elsewhere as the suspects try to sell them on and we would like to hear from anyone who comes across these items or perhaps knows someone who is trying to sell them.
“The train set is unique and there may be enthusiasts who may come across this item. I would encourage them not to purchase such an item but speak to police immediately.”
