Two injured in afternoon assault in Stockbridge High Street

POLICE were called to Stockbridge High Street yesterday afternoon following a report of a dispute outside a domestic property. The call was made at 4.10pm. Hampshire police revealed that a 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, both from Stockbridge, suffered minor injuries.

A police spokeswoman said: "A 44-year-old man from Marchwood was arrested on suspicion of assault. "He has been bailed pending further enquiries until 27 March."

They added that they were unable to confirm the identities of those thought to be involved.
