THE brewery which owns The George Inn, pictured, at St Mary Bourne have confirmed that they are searching for new business partners to run the pub.

The George Inn recently closed its doors to the public following the departure of the landlord who has previously been operating the pub.

They are seeking an individual, couple or family, with local knowledge and the desire to run a traditional village pub with a robust food offer.

Foggy Dessillas, area manager responsible for the pub said: “The George Inn is a thriving community pub and Hall & Woodhouse is committed to finding the right person or people to ensure that it continues to serve the needs of the local community in the years to come.

“If you would relish the opportunity to run your village pub or know somebody who would then do get in touch with us or view the details on hall-woodhousepartnerships.

co.uk – we would love to discuss the opportunity.

“Whilst we are unable to confirm a reopening date for The George until a new business partner has been found we anticipate that this will be a quick process and hope to reopen in the next few weeks.

“We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy a pint of Badger in the not too distant future!”
