A COUPLE from Charlton are preparing to run the London Marathon for a second year in a row to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.
Stuart Bishop and Lynn Woodthorpe will be running through the streets of London in memory of their late friend Jason Goddard.
Last year the pair managed to raise more than £7,000 and they are already approaching the £1,000 mark over a month ahead of the run.
Stuart said: “Following on from our gruelling campaign last year, we have decided that we are once again going to brave the streets of London and raise some more much-needed funds for the amazing charity Mind.
“Statistics show that every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem, but hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling to get the support they need.
“Mind is a charity that is very personal to us and close to our hearts following the terrible loss of our great friend Jason Goddard who was sadly suffering with depression.”
