ANDOVER’S classic car show is set to return to Wyke Down after severe flooding forced a change of location last year.

Organisers of the Spring Vehicle Meet and Autojumble – which can attract up to 3,000 exhibitors – have announced that the normal venue at Wyke Down, in Picket Piece, Andover, is all set to host the annual Easter bank holiday Monday event.

Last year the meet – which has been a gathering for motor enthusiasts for more than 20 years – was postponed after the fields were deemed too waterlogged. It eventually took place at Greenham Common, in Newbury, but some exhibitors called for a return to Andover.

Organiser Dave Palmer has confirmed that it will take place once more on Monday, 21 April, with gates opening to the public from 10am.
