ANDOVER’S Mutual Business Group (MBG) will have two people speak at their April breakfast meeting on Tuesday.

The emphasis for March and April has been to support local charities. Over the past two months the Group has demonstrated this commitment by donating £250 to three charities: Andover CFR – First responses unit for ambulance service, Andover Citizens Advice Bureau and Test Valley Community Services. The speakers for the April meeting are therefore from two of these charities: Ange Moon from Andover Citizens Advice Bureau and Terry Bishop from Test Valley Community Services. Both Ange and Terry will speak to the group about the important services their respective charities provide to the local community and how donations of this nature are vital to each organisation.

The group were also very pleased to sponsor Group members Jon Booth and Siobhan Lovatt in their efforts to run the London Marathon in aid of the charity Whizz Kids. Unfortunately, Siobhan sustained an injury a few weeks ago so sadly was unable to run. However she did go up and support Jon who completed the course in a time of 5 hours, 1 minute and 35 seconds. The members are really looking forward to hearing more about these two charities along with Jon’s experience of the London Marathon and are so pleased that as a group of local business people they are able to help support the local community in this way. MBG meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Copper Kettle in Andover. The costs are excellent value with an annual subscription of just £30 and breakfast £10.

Next meeting: Tuesday 22 April (7.30am - 9am). Visitors are always very welcome. Email: dmcnamara@dbbsolicitors.co.uk, or visit www.andovermbg.com for details.
