WITH the final term of this year fast approaching, Andover College is urging all Year 11s who have not yet decided which college they’ll be going to in September to come along to an open event next Saturday, 26 April between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

The event will give an insight into some of the courses, there will be a number of have-a-go sessions and there will also be careers advice to help the decision making process.

The college, endorsed by Ofsted as ‘Good’, is already well-known for its community feel and the individual support given that enables students to achieve and in many cases exceed their expectations.

Martin Simmons, vice principal, said: “This is the final opportunity of this academic year for prospective students to tour the sixth form, look around all our excellent vocational facilities, meet lecturers and talk to current students studying here at Andover College.

“For any school leaver, choosing the best college to further their education is a very big decision and Andover has an excellent reputation for its results, its support and care and its track record of university entry.

“We have recently launched a new bus service from Pewsey to enable more young people to access our wide range of courses.

“If you’re still unsure about what to do next, come along to the open day and get some help deciding on the best option.

“Whether looking to study Alevels in the dedicated Sixth Form Academy building or opting for one of our professionally resourced vocational courses, students are all assured of expert teaching, a unique learning experience, and excellent facilities.”
