BEREAVED families from Andover will have to travel further for inquests from next week.
The Coroner for central Hampshire has announced that the court will no longer sit in Winchester from 1 May this year.
The new venue is to be in Southampton, at 12-18 Hulse Road.
Until 1998 local inquests were held at Andover Magistrates’ Court when they were moved to Winchester’s Old Jury Room, near the Crown Court.
