Andover's neighbourhood plan making progress
Updated 4:16pm Tuesday 29th April 2014 in News
ANDOVER town councillors preparing a neighbourhood plan have been taking advice from other councils near and far.
Cllr Veronika Pond attended a training course in Axminster on 16 April along with 34 councillors from 11 other town and parish councils. Three Andover town councillors also had a meeting with Mr David George the Chairman of the Whitchurch Neighbourhood Plan steering committee. Since Whitchurch are 18 months ahead with their plan so their offer to provide help and guidance was ‘most welcomed’ town councillors heard at their meeting last week.
Once adopted minor local authorities will be able to use 25 per cent of the receipts from planning developments in the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
