AROUND 90 walkers enjoyed the beautiful spring weather, glorious countryside and a delicious lunch on Saturday, raising more than £900 for two local charities along the way.
Two routes were offered to walkers, depending how fit they were feeling, both ending at Vernham Dean Village Hall where a hearty lunch was provided by a team of volunteers from the village.
Money raised from the walk will be split between the Andover branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the fund for dialysis facilities at Andover hospital – currently local kidney patients have to travel long distances for their treatment several times a week.
