A STRONGMAN from Andover has successfully completed one of Europe’s biggest and most gruelling physical challenges.
David Wearn, 38, tackled the 15-mile extreme obstacle course around the Nurburgring in Germany in under four hours.
The designer was part of the 12-man Team GB and completed the course in 3 hours and 25 minutes.
The course included ice-cold water pool plunges, electric shocks and even swamps of quicksand.
David said: “I’d like to say it was easy, but it wasn’t. I’m just glad I finished and helped give Britain a presence at such a huge racing event.
“This was the toughest race I’ve completed. The obstacles made getting around the course pretty difficult, but the atmosphere was incredible.
“It was a great race.”
