MORE than 70 cyclists turned the pedal during the 3rd Clatford Cycle Challenge in aid of Naomi House’s Caterpillar Appeal.

Ages ranged from five-year-old Isla Knight on a tandem with her dad Ian, to Bryce Mansfield, who took on the long ride a week before his 80th birthday.

The challenge was organised by Naomi House ambassador Simon Hall, pictured, and hosted by Upper Clatford Youth FC and the Clatford Parish Council who kindly donated the use of the sports field.

Simon said: “It was great to see so many fellow cyclists turn out to help a worthy local charity. The money raised today will go towards the Naomi House Caterpillar Appeal in order to refurbish Naomi House and help provide the support to the families, children and young adults who use Naomi House and Jacks Place.

“I would like to thank the Clatford Parish Council and the football club for hosting us as well as the Coach & Horses in Sutton Scotney for allowing us to use them as a half-way check point. The riders would like to thank all those who baked the cakes.”
