AN urban sports facility in Andover is set to get the goahead at a planning meeting.
Test Valley Borough Council will bring the plans for the Smannell Road facility to the next meeting of the Northern Area Planning Committee on Thursday.
The site forms part of an existing public open space on the northern side of Smannell Road.
The plan is to build a new concrete park for skaters, scooters and BMX bikers to use.
A report, which recommends that the proposal is approved, states: “The proposed development is considered to represent an enhancement to the recreational facilities within the area and is sited such that the facility would be accessible for users.
“The proposal can be accommodated within the site without detriment to the character and appearance of the area and ensures the retention of existing trees around the site.”
