COUNCILLOR Keith Watts will represent Whitchurch on Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council with a resounding election win.
Liberal Democrat Mr Watts received 1033 votes to beat off competition for the seat from Tom Thacker, Simon Hession and Colin Phillimore.
Mr Thacker received 469 votes, Mr Hession received 203 votes and Phillimore won 152 votes as 1865 voters took to the polls with a 45 per cent turnout.
Elsewhere Independent Cllr Ian Tilbury retained his seat for Overton, Freefolk and Steventon with 1,070 votes.
