PUPILS at Rookwood’s Preparatory School have swashbuckled their way through music lessons this term thanks to their annual theatrical production, Treasure Island.

The pupils, aged between seven and 11 years old, banded together to perform their musical, complete with catapulting cabin boys, dancing deck hands and a knee-quaking Captain Hook.

Every pupil in the prep school was involved, with the masterminds behind the production (music teacher, Libbie Noakes, and prep school assistant head, Claire Abraham) cheering them on from the wings.

The pupils’ efforts raised £379 which they elected to donate to the chosen charity of their PE teacher Neil Brewer, who recently completed the London Marathon in aid of Whizz-Kidz (a UK charity dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children).

Headmistress, Mrs Louise Whetstone, said she was incredibly impressed by the pupils’ hard work.
