BUNGEE jumping took place in Andover’s George Yard car park as brave locals helped raise money for the Breakers Community Project.

Jumpers took on the 175ft jump both forwards and backwards to raise funds and raise support for the ongoing campaign to breathe new life into the former Andover Club.

Anji Gillies said: “We managed to cover our cost and raise about £250 and we had great support and the community spirit was shown.

“It was such a great turnout with lots of people deciding to jump on the day. The youngest was just 14-years-old and the oldest was 61!

“I must thank Brandon Bliss, Liz Ferla, Alison and Simon Fairbairn and Rolf Smith for all their help as well as Heavenly Sweets who kindly donated ice cream to jumpers on the day.”
