THE Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Newton Tony is getting in the World Cup spirit by naming their own team of 10 beautiful puppies after countries in the World Cup.

The eight week old puppies are looking for their perfect match in loving homes.

The Spanish mastiff cross saluki puppies are made up of three girls called Chile, Rio and Costa and seven boys called Cameroon, Belgium, Espania, Ghana, Croatia, Brazil and Mexico.

While they may not be heading to Brazil this month, these playful pups are a winner at the centre.

The puppies came to be at the centre when a lady, who had been hand rearing them since they were one week old, could no longer cope with the responsibility.

Jacinta Browne, centre manager said: “These puppies are an absolute delight and in great condition.

“We were so pleased to be in a position to help and find homes for these adorable champs.

“As they are still young, we would be looking for owners who have the time to spend with the pups to socialise and train them.

“Puppies can be a great undertaking as they require a lot of patience and love.”

To offer any of the puppies a home, or to visit call 01980 629634 or visit the centre at 45 Amesbury Road, Newton Tony, Wiltshire, SP4 0HW.
