DAVID Owen Norris will return to Stockbridge tonight when he performs at St Peter’s Church.

Last October he performed in the church to a sell-out audience. The evening combined education and fun, with world famous pianist, composer, conductor and broadcaster David performing on his 1828 Broadwood grand piano.

For the next concert David will give a recital on his brown fortepiano and his 1828 Broadway grand piano – identical to the kind of piano used by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.

David’s work as a concert pianist has taken him round the world many times. He is a specialist in the music of Mendelssohn and his recital programme will include Mendelssohn’s famous Rondo Capriccioso as well as Beethoven’s Sonata in C Minor Pathetique and other works by Haydn and Mozart.

Tickets, which cost £14, are on sale from Robinsons Butchers, Stockbridge, The Lights Theatre, in Andover, on 01264 368368, or from Roger Tym, The Old Manse, High Street, Stockbridge, on 01264 810363.
