LOCALS gathered at Little Meadow in Overton to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the village’s biodiversity society.
The society celebrated the landmark with a community picnic which was enjoyed by members and residents in perfect sunshine.
A range of activities were on offer throughout the afternoon including familyorientated wildlife games, quizzes and children dancing around maypoles.
Overton Biodiversity chairman Ken MacKenzie said: “We’re delighted to have reached our tenth birthday and we would like to thank everyone who’s helped us over the years and in particular our original chairperson Kath Doyle.
“We’re now looking forward to another ten years of helping to raise the profile of wildlife in Overton Parish.”
