THERE was family fun for all ages at Appleshaw St Peter’s C of E Primary School’s fete on Saturday.

Fete-goers kept their fingers crossed that the bad weather would hold off so that they could enjoy the event-packed afternoon.

A visit from Hampshire Air Ambulance was a highlight, while other attractions included archery, a bouncy castle, pony rides, face painting, balloon modelling, country dancing and children’s races.

Local businesses also dropped by, including independent wine merchant Grape Expectations, The Travelling Cupcake, Purple Eccentric and Precious Treads.

There was also a barbecue, ice-creams, tea and home-made cakes, plus Pimm’s to keep the attendees refreshed.

The day saw more than £2,000 raised at the PTAorganised event.
