A MAN was robbed at knifepoint at an Andover beauty spot.

A 22-year-old man was walking from KFC at the Enham Arch Retail Park, along the footpath that runs towards Anton Lakes at 7.30pm on Monday.

He was walking towards King Arthurs Way, just before the play area through an area covered with trees and buses, when he was pulled by the hair from behind by an unknown man.

The man threatened the victim with a knife and it then became apparent that there were two other men with the attacker. They demanded that the victim hand over everything he had.

The victim had £110 cash in his rucksack so he gave them this and he then ran towards Saxon Fields.

The three men are described as either black or Asian, all spoke with a south London accent and had deep voices.

They were all wearing loose-fitting tracksuits, two had black tops and bottoms and one had a black top and grey bottoms.

PC Craig Bannerman said: “It is believed there may have been some dog walkers in the area who may have seen the three men.

“If this was you, please contact me as you may have information which could assist this investigation.

“I would also like to remind people to consider their personal safety. Stick to well-lit areas when walking alone and keep a charged mobile phone with you, should you need to call for help.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Bannerman at Basingstoke Police Station on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
