ANDOVER-based Be Wiser Insurance has raised a total of £2,086 at its annual charity fun day.

The money, which was raised by the broker’s 570 employees, will be donated to its adopted charities The British Heart Foundation and The British Lung Foundation.

The day-long fundraiser saw teams take part in quizzes, raffles and fun activities; Team Wiser Connect adopted a Hawaiian beach theme for the day and sold cakes, sweets and refreshments to raise the much needed funds.

One lucky employee, Rebecca Gare, won £115 after successfully betting that her customer service team would put in the strongest sales performance in a company-wide initiative that raised a total of £550.

Be Wiser’s Andrew Dunkerley said: “It’s a fun day that all the staff take part in and it’s always great to raise such a substantial amount of money for the two very worthwhile charities.”

So far this year Be Wiser has raised a total of £6,340 for the two charities.
