ANDOVER Town Centre Partnership (ATCP) is organising an exciting treasure trail through the town for the final week of the school summer holidays – and there are prizes to be won.

The project has been developed in conjunction with Andover’s Great Outdoors and local resident Iris Andersen, and will see participants searching in the windows of 20 Andover town centre businesses between 23 and 31 August.

The businesses involved have been drawn from all areas of the centre of town and the aim will be to find the item in their window which wouldn’t usually be there.

Town centre manager Chris Gregory said: “This event is the first in a series of new projects being planned by the new Andover Town Centre Partnership in order to showcase our fantastic town and we hope that as many people as possible will take part.

“Special thanks must go to Janet Thorpe and Iris Andersen, who have been instrumental in this project, all of the participating businesses and also to all those who have provided prizes.”

The 20 businesses taking part are – Dawkins Pet Supplies, David Mellor Jewellers, Lulu’s Boutique, La De Da, Belvoir Lettings, Lucy’s Kitchen, Squires, Mooch, Martin and Co, Andover Framing, Penny’s, Lone Fairy Jewellery, Naturally Health Foods, Mailbox, Forget-me-not, At Last, Grahams Tailors, Old Traditions, Andover Toys and Craftspot.

Particiants simply need to look in every shop window and make a list of the item that looks out of place.

Hand in or send the list to the Andover Advertiser offices at Advertiser House, 24-32 London Street, Andover SP10 2PE by midday on the closing date of Monday, 1 September.

Don’t forget to include your name, address and a contact telephone number.

All entries with the correct item listed for each of the 20 businesses will be entered into a prize draw, with the following prizes being awarded to three lucky winners: l A family meal for two adults and two children at Andover Wimpy.

l Family tickets for The Lights theatre in Andover l Afternoon Tea at the Travelling Cupcake, Andover.

The Andover Town Centre Partnership is an independent, business- led body with the key aim to: “Bring more people into Andover town centre, make them stay longer, use town centre businesses more and want to return.”
