ANDOVER Town Centre Partnership has just signed up its 20th business in the town – the Andover Advertiser.

Town centre manager Chris Gregory said: “I am delighted to welcome the Advertiser as the 20th member of the Andover Town Centre Partnership.

This is a milestone for us in terms of local support for what we are trying to achieve and we encourage as many more town centre businesses as possible to become involved in helping us to deliver significant improvements within the town.”

Advertiser publisher Liz Bond said: “We are very pleased to be working with the Andover Town Centre Partnership and look forward to being actively involved in helping with the planned improvements.

Our role as the community’s newspaper is vital in communicating any proposed changes for the better and I, particularly, look forward to working on the emerging marketing and promotional plans.”

The partnership is designed to represent a number of interests in the town and will be a completely independent and business-led organisation.

It aims to get more people to come into Andover to shop and to get them to return more frequently.

The post of town centre manager is funded by Hampshire County Council, Test Valley Borough Council and Andover Town Council but the manager is not an employee of any of these organisations.
