THERE is still time to nominate someone for the Sue Sheppard Award.

The Sue Sheppard Award is a new award introduced by Pride of Andover this year in memory of Sue Sheppard, a former member of the pride team.

This year the award will be given to someone who against all the odds has turned round their life and shown with hard work, passion and belief anyone, despite their circumstance, can make a success of things.

The pride awards team thanked Stannah who have sponsored the award.

A spokesperson for Stannah said: “We are very pleased to sponsor this award in memory of Sue who worked hard for the Andover Community.”

A spokesperson for the Pride of Andover said: “Sue always had an encouraging word and a brilliant smile, making you feel you could achieve anything.

“When you hit rock bottom you need that encouragement to pick yourself up.

“The Pride of Andover Awards have always said ‘Thank You’ to those people who help to make our community a very special place.

“The committee hope that The Sue Sheppard Award will be able to say ‘Congratulations’ on the success people have achieved, turning their life around.”

Nominate by Friday 12 September by visiting prideofandoverawards.org.uk/nominate.
