ROOKWOOD School has welcomed its largest intake of pupils into Year 7 after the summer holidays.
The latest addition to the senior school consists of 27 boys and 24 girls (five of whom have joined Rookwood’s family of boarders) and represents an intake that spans 16 local junior schools in addition to Rookwood’s own Prep School, ‘Paddocks’.
The pupils will be taught in three separate classes of 17.
Head teacher, Mrs Louise Whetstone, said she was incredibly pleased to see so many new smiling faces in the senior school and was looking forward to getting to know the boys and girls personally as the term got under way.
