A CLERE School student has completed a hat-trick of national long-jump titles with a personal best jump.

Following her success at the county athletics championship in June, and the All England Schools Athletics Championship in July, Holly Mills (pictured centre) celebrated another success when she won the England Athletics National long jump title with a best of 5.76m.

The achievement meant that Holly has won all three national titles this year (English schools and national indoor and outdoor championships) plus both the south of England indoor and outdoor championships.

She has also completed the season unbeaten in all long jump competitions.

Next year, as well as competing for Andover, Holly is hoping to represent Blackheath & Bromley, who compete in the premier division nationally.

Mark Pasternakiewicz, PE curriculum leader at The Clere said: “This is another fantastic achievement and is proof of her ability and her dedication.”

Holly, 14, lives in Hurstbourne Tarrant.

Her parents signed their talented daughter up to Andover Athletics Club at the age of seven, after seeing her compete in her primary school sports day.
