WHITCHURCH and Overton Army Cadets have announced they will link up with the Overton branch of the Royal British Legion.
Both groups, who have links with the armed services, will officially recognise the partnership in a ceremony at the cadets’ headquarters in Overton.
The ceremony will take place at 7pm on Monday, 6 October and will include several brief presentations from ex-service men about the Royal British Legion and life in the armed forces.
Steve Slack, a member of the Royal British Legion and instructor for the cadets, said of the link: “It’s a good way of bringing young and old together and bringing more life into our branch of the British Legion.”
