POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses following a burglary at a house in Augustine Way, Charlton, near Andover.

The offenders gained entry via a rear door of the house between 3 and 6 September.

Once insider they stole thousands of pounds’ worth of jewellery and a tablet device.The items taken include a man’s gold Omega Seamaster automatic watch, a man’s steel Omega Seamaster automatic watch, a lady’s gold Omega watch, a solid gold set of cufflinks, two men’s gold tie pins, silver cufflinks, two gold crosses with chains plus earring and chains, one with a silver Maltese cross.

Police staff investigator Rebecca Quirk, said: “Do you know who is responsible for this burglary? Have you heard of anyone selling this jewellery or where it’s located? If so please contact me.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to remind homeowners to ensure they take steps to try and prevent becoming victims of crime.

“If you are away from your home, even for a short time, use light timer devices, for example, or arrange for a neighbour or family member to attend the house to ensure the property is safe and secure.”
