THERE’S loads of spooky half-term fun on offer at The Lights this year.

Little ones aged two to 12 can dip in and out of a whole host of Hallowe’en-themed creative workshops from storytelling, drama, dance and craft to cooking and musical theatre sessions.

The Little Shop of Horrors Musical Theatre Workshop on Monday, 27 October will be led by tutor Lauren, who will be teaching some great dance routines to the music of this fabulous Broadway musical.

On Tuesday, 28 October, the Owl’s Whizz Bang Firework Surprise for children aged two to four will be a special storytelling s e s s i o n w h e r e the little wizards a n d witches get the chance to dress up and organise a firework party for the Wise Old Owl.

There will be more brilliant dance routines on offer at the Spooky Hallowe’en Dance Workshop for ages five to seven years.

Tutor Alex will be on hand to teach some new skills, up-cycling and craft techniques in the Sock Monkey workshop where you get to take home your own creation at the end of the day.

The Wednesday of half-term sees one of the highlights of the week with the Hallowe’en Twilight Tea Party.

The Lights is calling all pumpkins, wizards and witches, all cats, bats and magical folk aged six years and under, to dress up with their families and join in the fun with tutor Amanda leading lots of tricks and treats, songs and surprises.

And don’t forget to pack your picnic tea too.

“Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” will be the cry on Thursday at the Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Terrible Troll drama workshop.

This session finishes with a short performance to friends and family.

The week wouldn’t be complete without three hours of ghoulish Hallowe’en fun on the Friday, making and baking lots of gruesome cookies and scary sweet treats to take home.
